What To Expect During Your Consultation
During the initial consultation, Dr. Trussler will incorporate your individual requests to develop a plastic surgery procedure that is right for you. General questions are usually answered before they come up in the consultation, and a list of common questions that should be asked of every plastic surgeon, can be found in our blog entitled “10 questions to ask your plastic surgeon”.
The Importance Of Preoperative Planning
Preoperative planning is a significant component to a successful final result. Please take the time to fill out the medical questionnaire accurately, so Dr. Trussler can incorporate any pre-existing conditions or previous procedures into the formulation of an individual plastic surgery plan. In addition to the medical questionnaire, Dr. Trussler has made the procedure specific aftercare instructions available for his new patients so that they can be informed of his recovery regimen.
What Additional Items Should You Bring To The Consultation
Previous surgical reports and medical records that may pertain to your plastic surgery procedure can assist Dr. Trussler in developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Breast implant records that include the volume of the implant are helpful to bring to the initial consultation. Your medical insurance card and a copy of your last general medical examination, mammogram report, blood work, as well as EKG and xray reports are helpful to complete your pre-operative medical clearance and avoid any need for repetition, or delay before your surgery.
