Today’s topic is an important one. Men of all ages are living with shame and embarrassment due to a problem they may believe they brought upon themselves. We want to shed light on the issue, and offer hope for those affected by gynecomastia.

Gynecomastia
is a condition in which the male breast becomes enlarged. Some people refer to excess tissue as “man boobs” or “moobs.” Any way you put it, the emotional impact of having a less masculine physique can be enormous. This problem may begin to develop during the teen years or anytime thereafter. In many cases, an affected male may feel that he is responsible for his own torment; that he must lose weight or work out more to rid himself of the fatty deposits that plague him.

The truth is that gynecomastia often has nothing to do with weight or with muscular structure. The condition has more to do with the enlargement of glandular and or fatty tissue around the breast. A man who attempts to solve his physical woes with diet and exercise may obtain greater health, which is never a bad thing, although the desired trimming effect may not come to fruition.

Problems with self-image are not easy to overcome. We understand this, and encourage men affected by excess breast tissue to stop blaming themselves for their condition.

One flat, male chest, please!
When you recognize the physiological reasons that gynecomastia develops, you can lighten up on yourself. Furthermore, it becomes easier to identify the right solution to regain confidence in your body.

The goal in treating gynecomastia is to obtain a flatter chest. Until recently, men had very little information through which they could achieve this goal. Today, there are multiple surgical techniques that may be employed to remove excess glandular and fatty tissue from the male breast.
